Seven paw-some Christmas gifts for your pets for less than £10

CHRISTMAS is a time for family and friends, including those on four legs.

But £208.5million worth of pet presents, unwanted or unsuitable, could go to waste this year, says insurer More Than.

Use our pawsome tips to find cheap treats animals will love.

STOCKING FILLED: Pets At Home sells a range of filled stockings to suit every budget.

A Pedigree one for dogs, and a Dreamies one for cats, are both priced £2.99.

CAT’S CREAM: A bottle of milk will be lapped up by feline friends, but make sure it’s suitable for your puss. Grab a pack of three Whiskas cat milk bottles from Wilko or Tesco for £2.75, a pound cheaper than at Ocado.

Be very careful feeding dogs too. If your pooch eats anything poisonous to them, you’ll be making an emergency trip to the vets.

This won’t come cheap, so keep it festive and safe.

A pack of two doggy mince pies from Poundland is only £2.

SAVE: £1 on cat milk at Wilko

WREATH FOR TEETH: How about a festive wreath for your pet to chew

Pets At Home sells one full of dog cookies for £12. Or try a tennis ball wreath dog toy for £7.99 from Argos.

Rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters might enjoy a small pets’ wreath to nibble on, and Wilko has one for £4.

TUG O’WAR: Create your own dog tug-toy by recycling an old T-shirt or towel.

Cut the material into large strips, tie them tightly at the top, braid the loose ends and tie at the bottom.

KEEP IT SIMPLE: Animals love to be spoiled, but with love rather than expensive gifts.

Spend a few quid at Poundland and find chew toys, collars and rattle mice.

Or make your own dog biscuits — but be careful with ingredients. For example, use xylitol-free peanut butter.

SAVE: around £20 on the average spend of £23.30 on pets.*

LET the kids colour in the castle with this cardboard playhouse from Hobbycraft, down to £10 from £18.

SWEETEN the deal with organic Acacia or Mexican wildflower honey from The Groovy Food Company.

Each reduced from £3.50 to £3 at Tesco.

JOIN the new PizzaExpress Club by downloading the app, and get free dough balls. As a member you earn Pizza Stamps every time you dine in and spend £10 per person. Get enough stamps and you can unlock free rewards – including side dishes, drinks and, of course, pizza.

THE Neom Organics London wellbeing pod diffuser can scent the room and lift your spirits.

It is £95 at John Lewis but for a cheaper option, try the electric diffuser gift set from Marks & Spencer for £29.50.

IT’S time to organise all your festive snaps from the past month. Make personalised calendars, photo albums and even cushions with Vistaprint.

Get ten per cent back on your spend when you shop via topcashback.co.uk/vistaprint. Deal ends Boxing Day.

STOCK up with this pack of three face coverings from Aldi, reduced from £4.99 to £3.49.

COLLECT three times the normal number of Nectar points when you shop online or in store at Argos – three per £1 spent. Be quick, as the offer ends tomorrow.
