Seriously Minnesota? Are we so lazy?

I just found out that I am not the only person in Minnesota who feels this way. However, I was surprised to find that I was very similar to my Minnesota neighbor.

A study conducted by Barbend posed the question: "If you were given the choice to walk or drive to a destination that is a 5-minute walk from the hotel, would you choose to walk or drive?

One-third of Minnesota people said they would rather drive it.

This makes you think that Minnesota people are lazy, but I think this is far from the truth. The fact is that our employer recently asked us to do so much and we need all the extra 5 minutes.

Although most of us agree that we don’t walk enough times a day, and the number of steps per day is between 2,100 and 3,400, we still have reasons to choose to drive these short distances.

The article said that the survey did not consider people's body fat percentage, but did say that by 2030, more than half of the US population is expected to be obese.

That being said, if walking for 5 minutes is not for you, try to remember to walk at other times of the day; maybe before your day starts, or after you get home from get off work. Walk, dance, and do some jumps with your dog. When walking, running, and jumping are all fun, try to be your inner child. Find your happiness and step into these steps.
