A new Pet Supplies Plus store will open in Germantown on Wednesday, November 24th.

According to the press release, the store is located in the centre of Sendik Village on N112 W15800 Mequon Road and will bring 25 jobs to the area. Pet Supplies Plus sells natural pet food, toys and other products from dozens of brands. It also provides services such as beauty, laundry stations and health checks at low prices.

Pet Supplies Plus currently has eight other locations in southeastern Wisconsin. The Germantown store is the second location for franchisees and Milwaukee natives Dan and Dick Karas. Last year, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the brothers opened their first Pet Supplies Plus store in Mequon.

Previously, Dan worked as a regional sales manager for a construction supply company for 26 years, while Dick has a background as a cardiologist at a medical school in Boston. However, an accident in 2013 left Dick with a spinal cord injury and he was unable to continue his career. At the same time, Dan was ready to accept new things, so they decided to do business together.

They said: "We like to see our neighbors enter the store four to five days a week and hang out with us at our first location." "Our neighbors and team members love the positive culture we have created in Mequon , We are very happy to be able to bring the same culture to Germantown."

The new store will cooperate with local animal shelters, rescue organizations and non-profit organizations to organize adoption activities, fundraising activities, and pet food and product promotion activities.

The one-week grand opening event is scheduled for December 4th and 5th. These include special prizes and promotional prices.
